Bamanga Tukur's Body Arrives Adamawa, Burial Set For Today


Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, on Saturday evening led government officials and family members to receive the remains of elder statesman and former Governor, Alhaji Dr, Bamanga Tukur, at the Lamido Aliyu Mustapha International Airport, Yola. Tukur, who died in Abuja on Saturday afternoon, arrived Yola at about 7:07 p.m



His remains were taken to his residence, Tukur Lodge, where he was laid in the state as Governor Fintiri joined family members including his first son and SSG, Barrister Auwal B. Tukur, in offering prayers for Allah's forgiveness and grant the deceased enter Aljannatul Firdausi. Ameen

The Funeral prayers for the late  political icon, who governed old Gongola State, will hold at the Lamido's Palace, Yola, by 10:00 Am. today Sunday, September 13, after which he will be laid to rest.

He was the former governor of old Gongola State and National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party
