Atiku Abubakar Condemns Elaborate Centenary Celebration In The Face Of Terror Attacks

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has condemned the flamboyant manner the Federal government celebrated the centenary celebration yesterday despite the murder of several students of the Federal Government College Buni Yadi by Boko Haram.

This was his post on his facebook page:

"I'm appalled by this obscenity showing on NTA in the name of Centenary Celebration. It is inappropriate!

I'm proud of our history over the last 100 years. I congratulate our President and Nigerians for this journey so far.

However, I totally denounce the party currently happening in Abuja. It is a symbolic dance on the graves of those murdered FGC children.

It's a slap on the faces of those FGC parents currently mourning their children, and those crying over their abducted children".

    1. My dear am not a politician so I don't who Atiku is but the truth must be told. With the number of death recorded few hours before the the celebration there was no need for the funfair. We are talking about children whose lives was cut short in their prime not about criminals masquerading themselves as angels.

  3. Atiku has no moral right to speak against the president or bokoharam. Afterall he sworn to make nigeria ungovernable to the president. Now that Atiku and his northern supporters have achieved the objective, why are they lamenting. Rather than stay in pdp to assist the president in combating the crime, he decided to join the opposition party apc for selfish presidential ambition. Atiku has lost steam, respect and value. He is a mere pretender and can still talk cos of the monumental stolen wealth he illegally acquired.

  6. It is so funny that idiotic nd foolish comment is been expressed by our fellow Nigerians, every reasonable persons or leaders will know it is wrong to celebrate wit peoples money why some of their children which is their future is been killed and abducted d same day or about d same period and besides what are we celebrating;is it poverty, corruption, anachy in government, unemployement, power failure, poor medicals, poor education system, high crime in d country or what among many sad happenings in d country.someone needs to show jonathan a good dictionary 4 him to know what is called celebration, nigerians are not happy so they are far 4rm celebrations except 4 d few that have stolen our wealth to enjoy nd celebrate wit their families and relatives and d heartless wicked nigerians will celebrate
