Poser:Fall Out Of Anambra Election:Can Jega Conduct A Free And Fair Election In 2015?

The  inconclusive conduct of the Anambra State Gubernatorial election by INEC has raised a lot eyebrow and dust over INEC's ability to conduct a free and credible election. The election in a State with less that 1.7m voters was bugled by INEC's shoddy preparation and conduct. INEC deployed several thousands of its staff and adhoc staff for the election.Over 30,000 security agents were also on ground for the election, but what came out of it was a total failure.Several voters were disfranchased. Many couldn't find their names in the voters register, one of them was the PDP candidate in the election,Tony Nwoye. His parents and siblings were not also lucky.Result sheets were no where to be found.Electoral materials did not arrive several centers on time. Idemili was the worst affected.Voting did not take place in Obosi. The INEC electoral officer in-charge of Idemili LGA is now under arrest for sabotaging the exercise in the area. This has led the PDP,LP and APC calling for an outright cancellation of the exercise for a new election. INEC on its part says it will rather conduct a supplementary election in some selected polling booths on 30th November 2013.With all these hiccups, many are now doubting Prof Attahiru Jega's ability to conduct a hitch free election in 2015..The argument is that,if he couldn't conduct a free and fair election in a tiny State like Anambra, how would he do that in  country of over 160,000,000..Do you think Attahiru Jega has the capacity to conduct a free and fair election in 2015?..

  1. It is not abt Jega but his hand were tired by d desperate president wit his group who want to cripple d main oppositional party by every means in readiness 4 his ambition of returning to power after 2015,he use d police force to intimidate d electorates n oppositions or can u imagine an election in which over 30,000 police personel was deployed in a state of around 2 million people n yet it was obvious nonsense dat we witness in dat election which is far 4rm been peaceful despise d presence of those numbers of security personel

  6. If pdp had won people will say it outright rigging, now that it is apga that won people are still complaning, the truth is that in every contest someone must emerge victorious, while others will always find excuses for their failure.

  7. Anonymous 2:45 , you are a fool . Do you understand the meaning of desenfranchisement ? Even an electoral contestant's name was deliberately omitted, to pave way for another contestant .these irregularities were noticed because nigerian are becoming more politically informed than befor. These problems are caused by the desperate bid of Jonathan to come back in 2015 but am confidence that he will never return to Aso rock after 2015 . Ole
