The organizers of Big
Black Bold pageant over the weekend in an interview stated that the pageant is
designed to be the first digital/online competition to take place in Nigeria.
The CEO of Infocus PR Miss Chi Tola Roberts revealed that the auditions for
this competition will take place online and only the finalists will be invited
for a two week grooming exercise in preparation for the grand finale.
“Its of no use gathering
so many people together in a place all in the name of auditioning them for a
pageant. Having them travel long distances for just an audition. Big Black Bold is not a modeling competition,
it is a pageant and the winner gets to drive a cause dear to her heart. This
decision came after a brainstorming session on the project last Thursday with
the pageant coordinator Miss Mirah Toyosi Roberts and the production consultant
Mr. Tunde Adeyeye alongside two of our major sponsors.” She said.
With this latest development,
contestants after registration will be given a code that will enable them to
upload pictures taken with the specified criteria onto the website. At the
closure of registration, photos will be selected and put up for nominations.
The public will determine 60% of the decision, and judges 40% as this will seek
out the last 15 contestants for the grand finale. This pageant is for PLUS size
African woman – sizes 14 and above for ages between 15 and 25.
This is going to be the
first digital and interactive competition. It can only get better. The CEO
said.
She also mentioned that
the pageant has signed on 5 Ambassadors who will be unveiled in December at a
pool side party in Lagos.
Registration for this
pageant is open from now till 20th of December 2013. Registration

The winner of this competition
get a brand new car, the Coveted title MISS BBB 2014, $10,000 cash price, One
year on ISIS Model platform and other consolation prizes.
