Former Lagos State House of Assembly member Desmond Elliot has apologised to Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, over his actions during the last All Progressives Congress, APC, primary election in Lagos.
Elliot went on his knees to plead for forgiveness and expressed his desire to be reintegrated into the APC family in Lagos.
In his apology, Elliot said he had no excuse for his actions and appealed to Gbajabiamila for forgiveness.
“I’m sorry, I have no excuse, I have nothing other than to say I’m deeply sorry, sir, and I’m hoping. In our culture we prostrate. Emabinu daddy, emabinu sir.”
Elliot also admitted that his thoughts had misled him during the last APC primaries and accepted the verdict of the people of Surulere, while pledging to renew his loyalty to the GAC leadership in Lagos.
In response, Gbajabiamila granted Elliot an audience and warmly embraced him, in what was described as a display of forgiveness following the disagreements surrounding the last APC primaries.
