The Anglican Church is mourning the tragic death of Rev. Chibuzor Amakom, a young priest serving under the Diocese on the Niger, who reportedly died in a fatal car acc!dent on Friday, September 4, 2026.
Rev. Amakom was said to have been ordained only about two months ago, 19th July 2026.
Before his ordination and subsequent transfer, he served at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Nkpor and is currently serving at st Mary's Anglican church Obosi. He was reportedly from Ukpomachi.
His sudden death has left his family, friends, fellow priests, church members and colleagues heartbroken. The young priest’s passing has also been described as a painful loss to the Anglican community, coming so shortly after he began his journey in the priesthood.
