Former Bayelsa State Governor Henry Seriake Dickson has hosted Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and other leaders and candidates of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) from across the northern states.
Dickson said Kwankwaso, who he described as the party’s running mate and incoming Vice President, led a delegation of governorship and National Assembly candidates and other stakeholders to brief him on the party’s activities across the 19 northern states.
According to Dickson, the NDC had assigned Kwankwaso to lead its party-building efforts across the North, adding that he had made significant progress despite the limited time available.
Dickson thanked Kwankwaso for using his experience, capacity and extensive network to resolve issues within the party. He also expressed appreciation to the party’s leaders, aspirants, candidates and members for their cooperation and support.
He said the party had built what he described as a sustainable political structure and pledged to join candidates and leaders on the campaign trail as the NDC takes its “New Nigeria” message across the country.
Dickson expressed confidence that the party would emerge victorious in the 2027 elections.
