 Popular On Air Personality with Wazobia Fm Lagos Pius Opute Orezimena aka Diplomatic OPJ is dead 

According to a statement issued by his family,  he died on the early hours of Tuesday 

This is coming on the heels of the death of another veteran Journalist Dotun Oladipo

OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT IN LOVING MEMORY OF DIPLOMATIC OPJ (PIUS OPUTE OREZIMENA JNR.)

With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, and family patriarch, Diplomatic OPJ (Pius Opute Orezimena Jnr.), who peacefully slept in the Lord on Tuesday, 25th August 2026.

His passing is a great loss to us, but we are comforted by the beautiful memories he leaves behind and the legacy of love, wisdom, and family that he shared with us.

He is survived by his children, grandchildren, and the entire Opute Orezimena family, who mourn his departure while celebrating the life he lived and the lives he touched.

We humbly ask family, friends, colleagues, and well-wishers to remember us in their prayers during this difficult time.

May his gentle soul rest peacefully in the bosom of the Lord.
