Former Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan, is alive and in good health.
Reports circulating online claiming that the ex-governor has passed away are false and should be disregarded. His family and close associates have debunked the rumor, confirming that he is not deceased.
The fake news began spreading on social media on Tuesday, sparking panic and tributes from unsuspecting Nigerians. Uduaghan, who served Delta State from 2007 to 2015, has not made any public statement because the claim has no basis in fact. Security and media handlers of the former governor have urged the public to ignore the misleading reports.
Uduaghan, popularly called “Talk and Do” during his tenure, remains active and continues to engage in private and public affairs according to his family. His contributions to Delta’s development, including the “Delta Beyond Oil” agenda, are still referenced in policy discussions across the state.
Spreading false death reports about public figures causes unnecessary distress to families and the public.
The family advised the public to verify information from credible sources before sharing.
