Community Donates 50 Acres Of Land To Navy



As part of its traditional assistance to boost security, the Olota of Ota has donated 50 acres of land to the Nigerian Navy.

In a brief ceremony on Monday, March 3rd, 2025, during the signing and taking over of documents, including the Deed of Agreement between the Naval authority and the Olota of Ota, at the palace, His Royal Majesty, Professor Adeyemi Obalanlege extolled the role of the Navy in maintaining peace and security in the kingdom, stating that the donation would go a long way to strengthening the naval presence in Ota.

The signing was done by the Olota of Ota and the Commandant Nigerian Navy Ship QUORRA, Commodore Benjamin Onalo, who represented the Nigerian Navy.

In his remarks, Commodore Onalo expressed gratitude to His Majesty and the royal family for the donation. He also assured the community that the land would be used judiciously to enhance naval operations and improve the general security in Ota.

Commodore Onalo was accompanied by the Acting Commanding Officer of the Nigerian Navy School of Music, Lieutenant Commander Olaiya, and other officers.

Also present at the ceremony was the Head of the family that donated the land, Alhaji Tajudeen Aina, as well as other eminent council of chiefs of the Olota
