Instagram, Facebook Restore Services After Worldwide Downtime

Two of the most popular social media platforms, Instagram and Facebook, experienced a widespread outage on Tuesday evening.

Both platforms, owned by the American company Facebook Inc., rely on shared infrastructure.

The disruption occurred shortly before 5:00 p.m. Nigerian time, rendering users unable to view posts on refresh.

The services have been restored

Meta later apologized for the downtime
