Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State today in Akure granted an audience to the Editor in Chief of CKN News ,Mr Chris kehinde Nwandu in Akure.The editorial team were in the State as part of the 40th anniversary of the creation of Ondo State and 7th year anniversary of the Mimiko Administration.
The governor commended the reportage and editorial policies of the online news medium.He confessed being an ardent reader of the page and asked the team not to rest on its oars.
According to him," i have been a keen follower of CKN News for sometime now and i must inform you that i am quite impressed with your contents and news dissimliation .i commend your efforts at informing and educating Nigerians.I must specially thank you for making out time to visit our state at this point in time in our history and to see our modest achievements".
In his reply,the Editor in Chief of CKN News,Chris Kehinde Nwandu congratulated the governor on his 7th year annivesary and the 40th anniversary of the State.He informed him that he was shocked by the level of development they ve seen since their arrival in the State.
Of immense commendation are the lofty achievements in the areas of Health,Education and infrastructural developmenst and was wondering how he has been able to achieve all these with the meagre resources available to the State.
While in the State,the crew visited the Mother and Child Hospitals which has reduced Child mortality to almost zero percent.It also visited the modern schools built by the government.The Specialist Hospital in Ondo town which is one of the best equipped hospitals in the country with state of art equipment.It has the capacity of handling such serious surgeries like Spinal chord injuries,Kidney failures,heart surgeries etc.
The crew also visited the newly ,almost completed Event Centre and Dome amongst others.The week long celebration will be rounded up this night with a dinner and gala Nite.
