Governor Peter Ayodele Fayose has justified the concept of stomach infrastructure and assured he was about institutionalising it in the State politics, adding its acceptability had brought him fame and admiration among the people.
Fayose while addressing a congregation at a jumat service held in Ado Ekiti yesterday, said “The Concept of Stomach Infrastructure of Fayose Administration will banish poverty and hunger from Ekiti . It has given me fame and acceptability among the people and this will remain as an integral part of this administration”.
The Governor had, however, appointed Mr Sunday Anifowose as Special Assistant on Special Duties and Stomach Infrastructure.
Speaking further on stomach infrastructure , Fayose explained that : “Physical Infrastructure and urban renewal will continue to play its own role in the development of any nation. It is only the living who is hale and hearty that can enjoy such Infrastructure.
“Every policy of any administration that cannot put food on the table of the people is irrelevant. Stomach Infrastructure is not about food alone, it is also about the welfare of the people. Welfare of the people is also about health, provision of drugs, eradication of diseases, clothing and housing. All these are the basic essentials of life without which physical infrastructure will be meaningless”, Fayose declared.

Appointment of a stomach infrastructure commissioner in Ekiti is an indication that the people are hungry. And hence, need to be fed. What a slap on the people.
