Without Prejudice to what any one says, we totally support the Federal Government decision to sack over 16,000 resident doctors across the land.I am in total support or how else does a profession like that of Doctors now turning themselves into a trade union ,calling out its members on strike every other day to the detriment of the health of those they are out to protect. While their counterparts across the globe are even risking their lives as seen in the two American doctors that contracted Ebola in Liberia, our doctors are on a daily basis negotiating for more money and welfare just like ASUU..Report at our disposal has shown hundreds of Nigerians dying daily because of the doctors strike.Several pregnant women are also dying due to inadequate care because of the strike..Many people die from motor accident because of doctors strikes..The most annoying part is that these doctors despite being on strike will also want to draw their salaries..Who doesn't know that all doctors in Nigeria's Government hospitals engage in PP.They have their own private clinics where they divert patients to.If they are tired of working with Government ,they should resort to private practise. The strike by Nigerian doctors is becoming too many for us.Let them be sacked and lets see if we can go back to our days of using herbs and Agbo..Why would they decide to go on strike at this crucial time when Ebola is killing Nigerians like chickens..Even their National President who asked his colleagues to call of the strike due to the critical nature of the Ebola virus was asked to resign by his colleagues. What a selfish set of professionals they are..CKN

You have spoken our mind . Long live ckn
ReplyDeleteCKN, thank God for your deep thinking abilities and your progressive approach to the profession of reporting situations. http://onuhenrychidi.blogspot.com/2014/07/nma-and-it-evil-agenda-on-nigerians.html
ReplyDeleteLet me ask you just one question? Which drug or facilities will they use to cure the sick patients? Have you visited any of the teaching hospitals lately? How any one can work in such conditions is beyond me or do you want them to treat ebola without suit and protection?
