THE Presidency, on Thursday, confirmed that the location of the abducted
Chibok School girls by the defiant Boko Haram sect has been discovered by the
nation’s security forces.
Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Dr Doyin
Okupe, made the confirmation in a special interview with the Cable News Network
(CNN), monitored in Abuja by the Nigerian Tribune, on Thursday.
“As an insider; I am saying that the location of the Chibok schoolgirls
is now known and President Goodluck Jonathan is doing everything possible
to ensure their safe return,” he said.
The confirmation came a week after the Chief of Defence
Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh, disclosed that the Nigerian military had
discovered the whereabouts of the schoolgirls.
Also, a competent source within the presidency debunked the rumour that
President Goodluck Jonathan was angry with the CDS over the revelation to the
effect that the Nigerian military had discovered the whereabouts of the girls.
The source further said that the president was not unmindful of the
effect of the positive development on the morale of the Nigerian
military.
According to the source, “if the Americans had made the breakthrough,
that would have been the end of the Nigerian military and the president, as the
Commander-in-Chief, knows that at all times, he must show and have confidence
in the capacity and competence of his troops.”
Dr Okupe assured the nation and the international community that very
soon, the nation’s security forces would secure the release of the abducted
girls and reunite them with their parents.
Pls stop feeding Nigerians wiyh lies
ReplyDeleteWe know frm d very 1st second that boko haram is commanded frm the presisency so we r not suprise that u knw their location since u deliver arms n amunitions to them in the forest to kill innocent pple.
ReplyDeleteThat's good news . Operation recueourgirls
ReplyDeleteWe all no der were about right from time, FG bring back our girls dats wht we re askn for abeg!
ReplyDeleteGood work, well done good boy.
ReplyDeleteNext thing is to find somebody to rescue them abi?
When will they come back?
ReplyDeleteIs it to locate d girls we ar waitin for Or to bring back our girls? FG bring back our girls ooo.
ReplyDeleteThe Boko Haram in his cabinet has told him where d girls are.. nice One.
ReplyDeleteWell, locating d girls is d first thing to do, witout locating dem how will u rescue dem. In hostage negotiation and rescue, u locate first, and den prove dat d victims re alive before u go in 2 negotiation. And 4 @ 8:55am stop exhibiting ur ignorance in public. From ur write up i guess u re mentally lazy. No govt will sponsor its own down fall, dat d presidency was skeptical initially abt d abduction saga doesnt make it culpable. And wit d way d drama is still unfolding its becoming more skeptical. We read dat 4 more girls have escaped from dia abductors. D question is did dey escape from sambisa forest and dia captors were helpless and couldnt do anything or where dey hidden somewhere and now dat dia location has been identified somebody is bringing dem out. Pple shld task dia brains so dat dey can ask d right questions. Nigerians shld stop reacting in line wit western media and opposition who wouldnt see any thing gud abt Nigeria. D Nig Military is working, if not for some few saboteurs amongst dem. In d western world immidiately elections re over oppositions see demselves as part of d govt but in Nigeria opposition can never see anything gud in d ruling party. We must luv Nigeria for Nigeria 2 work. America is doubting d location of girls by d Nigerian Military becos dey didnt locate dem. I tot dat wit dia presence it wont take up 2 5 days for d girls 2 be seen but we have not heard any major breaktru from dia assistance. So we must encourage our own. We must not run Nigeria down wit our mouths. All we should be praying is for dem 2 be released alive and witout health serious health issues.
ReplyDeleteYes I agree with you, the only way we can build this country is to begin to build our confidence in the leaders.
ReplyDeleteThank God Mr. President accepted the US militery offer, and since they came nothing positive has resorted, I believe in Nigeria millitary in this rescue mission. @30/5/14/42:29pm
