The Chairman of Chibok LCDA Association
while speaking on a TV programme today in Abuja said the Nigerian military were
informed about two hours ahead of the impending attack in Chibok but they were
not able to do anything. He went ahead to say his kinsmen kept him posted when
the attack took place and as they were taking the girls away.. He went further
to give a vivid account on how the girls were packed into vehicles; some
trekked for about one and half kilometres with their captors.
The man said after they realised the
girls were so many, they decided to move to Chibok Motor Park where they
hijacked two big Lorries to evacuate the girls... Those that they couldn't evacuate
trekked for one and half kilometres with the terrorists and were packed into
golf cars, motorcycles etc... He went further to say that the invasion lasted
between 11pm-3pm, that most of his kinsmen stayed at the mountain top and hills
to watch what was happening.. Meanwhile, they were calling him intermittently
to brief him on what was happening.
He said only nineteen soldiers were on
ground against over two hundred invaders and therefore couldn’t do anything.
According to him, the soldiers had
earlier sent out distress call for support and back up but none was
forthcoming.
He went further to say that a policeman
and soldier died in the process.
Asked on how the over fifty girls escaped from their captures, he said some jumped out of the vehicles and hid in the bush, while one escaped after she was asked to fetch water.

ReplyDeleteThe Governor had earlier said there were mails registered in the school and they were housed in a temporay dormitory. Now it is rather intriging that there is no mention of any casualties of these males whichis so unlike previous BK attacks.

We are over 158 million people in Nigeria,do these fools think we are all foolish,gullible and daft like they are?Since the prestigious Chairman was alerted 2hrs b4 d attack,why dint he in return alert d school authority so that prompt evacuation could be made? Why do these people keep coming out with different stupid tales from diff angles?Hijacked lorries indeed. Every blame's on d FG/military,when you as a local council development area(lcda) association chairman failed to raise even a finger about the supposed "warning".
