24 Hours Curfew Imposed On Kafanchan

A 24 hour curfew has been imposed in Kafanchan, the headquarters of Jama'a local government area of Kaduna state following the alleged killing of two youths by soldiers in the area.
The incident occurred when hundred of youths trooped out, insisting on jungle justice to be meted out on about  20 fulanis who were arrested with weapons by soldiers at a check point in Kafanchan town.
Sources in the area who spoke on telephone said that the vehicle, a Mitsubishi Canter was said to have been conveying the Fulani men to an unknown destination,

adding that the weapons were hidden underneath the truck and were covered with mats and motorcycles.
According to sources, 12 AK 47 riffles, about 13 Dane  guns, a bag of ammunition, machetes, knives and improvised explosives among others were discovered in the vehicle.
Hundreds of youths were said to have mobilised to the scene of the incident and demanding instant justice for the culprits.
