Pastor Fireman Absorb Of Kiling A Virgin For Rituals

The Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has absolved the General Overseer of Overseer of Perfect Christianity Mission, Pastor Sign Fireman, of the murder of a 12-year-old virgin, Bose Ogoja on December 30, last year.
The DPP, in a Legal Advice issued to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), M.A.K. Smith Street, Yaba, Lagos, stated that it could not establish a case of murder against Pastor Fireman as alleged.
The Directorate however found one Ikechukwu Friday Egbo culpable for the murder of Ogoja. The Legal Advice, reference LJP/HOM/2014/19/10, was dated February 27, and signed by Director, DPP, Ms Olayide Eboda, on behalf of Lagos State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice.
Eighteen-year-old Egbo had in a confessional statement alleged that Fireman sent him to kill the girl and obtain her excreta for a N100,000 reward.
Peter Oboyi, counsel to Fireman told newsmen in Lagos that Egbo was discovered to have allegedly strangled the girl to obtain her faeces for ritual purposes. He said Egbo admitted that he had wanted to become rich like his peers and had approached his pastor personally after years in his church without breakthrough.
He had claimed that Fireman told him the way to achieve his financial breakthrough was to get him the faeces of a virgin, claiming that the pastor promised to give him N100,000 if he achieved the task.
Reprieve however came the way of Fireman when the DPP absolved him of the murder of the girl on conclusion of police investigations into the incident, while Egbo was found culpable.
The DPP stated that the facts in the file revealed that the suspect tricked the deceased, a 12-year-old to the uncompleted building and strangled her.
Pastor Fireman, in his reaction to the development, said the advice of the DPP to the police was not unexpected “because I knew I was innocent”. The pastor ruled out suing the police over his arrest since he was not accused of murder.
