Fuel Scarcity Hit Akwa Ibom State

The people of the oil rich State of Akwa Ibom have in the past eight days been facing acute fuel shortage .According CKN Nigeria reporter in Uyo,the State Capital ,long queues of fuel can be noticed across the few fuel stations that had fuel across the State.Worst hit are the major towns of Uyo,Eket and other major cities.Prices of the commodity has jumped up to between N200-N250 per litre. No explanation has been given by the PPMC and NNPC on the current fuel crisis which has practically paralyzed all economic activities in the vibrant state.

  2. Y d scarcity?, while fuel stAtions in oda states are filled wit fuel lookin 4 whom 2 buy it. NNPC/ NUPENG pls tell us.

  3. There's absolutely no reason why a rich state like Akwa Ibom should be complaining of fuel hardship for two weeks now. If Nupeng is on strike, isn't it the duty of govt to intervene to make sure the people don't suffer? If they have not done that in all of two weeks, it may be assumed that there's no govt or what we have is govt in exile. Right now as we speak, the price of kerosene which is commonly used by the poor masses has shot up beyond N250, if you are ever lucky to see it, yet nobody cares. Do we really have true leaders or representatives here? I doubt so, but maybe, somebody should prove me wrong here by making sure the normalcy returns ASAP.
