Few days ago, this young boy was arrested after he flew under the tyre of an Arik Air plane from Benin to Lagos. His mother has been quizzed by Security agents, but the boy is yet to be released. There have been divided opinion on the boy's action. While some see him as a hero that should be commended and put into better use, others have out rightly condemned his action..Some even see him as a stubborn boy trying to commit suicide. The Boy said he thought the Plane was US bound.Meanwhile,an NGO, Rauf Foundation has agreed to take over the training of the boy up to University level..Would you commend or condemn the action of this 14 years boy

ReplyDeleteThanks to d ngo. At least they saw something good in him
ReplyDeleteI commend his strength n determination, bcos one with an ordinary skill wudnt have been able 2 do this. Thanks 2 †ђξ NGO but more eye shud b on him...
ReplyDeleteNyz Comment.
DeleteHmmm! Should I say, he's an actor? U too much ooo. But to me, such person ith a dangerous mind like this could be a trait.
ReplyDeleteD boy is a genius to be able to break d security of Nigeria @ this age. Its an eye-opener to our security agency that they're jst wasting tax payers money, they're not securing anything.
ReplyDelete@ Rauf foundation, this boy act is not just about given him any kind of training alone; he needs a serious orentation/cancelling to change his mind set in doing such a crinal act. And punished him would be very detrimental for such case cos he would grow up living ith such pain! Know body can even tell what such a person could turn into in fucture, cos I believe dangerous pple would be very happy to embrazed such person to carryout their evil plot.
ReplyDeleteThis to tell us that Nigerian security agency re not working. Insecurity every where, too bad for Nigerans.surpposing his aimed was evil that of evil, only God knows what the life of those passengers would have turned to by now.
ReplyDeleteI think he has the potential to brave odds that millions of us will not even countenance. As far as I'm concerned, he has the makings of a useful asset to the fatherland that failed him to the extent that he defied such odds. As young as he is, he was able to penetrate the security of a sensitive national infrastructure. What if he was a suicide bomber? Let them train him as an intelligence or security operative. He's got great potential and talent spotters in that sector should have seen that by now; but then, they usually don't.
ReplyDeleteI don't tink d action of dis 14 years boy is supportable, cos nobody know wat was in d mind of d young boy hw wis God giv chanch now he wuld hav don somtin harmful and d lives in plane wuld been in history. My great blame goes to Nigerian Security, dis is to tell us dat dey are not workin. Hw wuld dey allow such a kid to travel unda an Arik plane tyre wis is very very suicidic and deathly so I definitely blame Nigerian Security.Finaly my appriciation goes to d NGO 4 his gud thouth 2word d boy.
ReplyDeletePls let dem not hurt d boy oh cos it might bounce back on nation
ReplyDeleteC D WAY UNA DEI YARN ABT SECURITY SHEI NA ARMY,AIRFORCE OR POLICE B AIRPORT SECURITY DEI R JUST CIVILIAN DAT AVE NO IDEA ABT SECURITY MAK UNA TINK B4 UNA TALK
ReplyDeleteHe is just a teenager but could hav been dead now. He should be warned to serve as a deterent to others. He should be encouraged to further his studies just like d ngo is doing but d ncaa officais be retrained on d need to be alert to their jobs.
ReplyDeleteWhat a brave minded boy, I sugest taking d boy to a better school & be trained as an intelligent officer, he would be useful to track criminals.
ReplyDeleteI commend d young boy's bravery and will also thank RAUF Foundation 4 seeing d light in him where a lot of pple see darkness. D boy needed a change and a better life and I believe strongly that dis is d medium thru which God will bring him 2 limelight. Just be focused and live ur life in line with God's word. D world will celebrate u 4 good someday.
ReplyDeleteI find it difficult to understand why we like to celebrate negativity in this country. What is brave about criminalty exhibited by that boy? We just thank God that nothing bad happened to the aircraft and those on board. Is giving scholarship not going to encourage others to embark on such killing mission? If Mutalab's case was to be in Nigeria, he would have been awarded GCON for bravery.
ReplyDeleteHow can you compare mutalab's case whom was a terrorist with this boy who is just trying to survive? Yes, he could have died in that act but I tell u, it takes a lot of gut, determination, intellegence and bravery to carryout that act. He will b an asset to this country in future if well moulded.
DeleteOur leaders think only after taking action. We celebrate criminalty in this country. Ogbeni Rauf should note that the boy's criminal tendency does not deserve any reward. We thank God that nothing bad happened to the plane and its passangers. Last week the whole USA stood in applause for a woman that 'disarmed' a gunman. That's bravery. If Mutalab's case of carrying a bomb in a plane had happened here, our leaders would have awarded him with GCON.
ReplyDeleteSad. Very sad.
But in this Boys case,he never carried any harmful thing like Gun,Bomb or watever on him which would've described him as a trait or Criminal lik sompple said.Had it been is wat he went for(to bomb or destroy de Plane) i wonder wat could've hpn dat day b/c he made his way without been caught. He was Jst trying 2 survive even wit his own life @risk so we should stp condemning him,he deserves som credit.I tnk God 4sparing his lif $ kudos 2NGO/Rauf Foundation in their decision 2take up his Education.
DeleteGod bless u my dear 4 Saying d truth, u know some ppl are Bad belle. How about boko haram amnesty what Have Dey Don about it D ppl dat hav destroyed multiples of life Jst bcos dey heard about scollarship dey are Saying nonsens. God bless NGO
DeleteSmH 4 u pple. Na d likes of u make d little boy wan run away 4rm naija...
ReplyDeleteFor those that are saying the NGO faulted what do you want government to do send the boy to jail or kill him?Go to the USA this are the kind of potentials that will qualify you for outright qualification for CIA or FBI recruitment. He is just a harmless young boy with a laudable suvival instict
ReplyDeleteAbg make una leave d boy alone oooo....na crime say d boy wan go america...aboyyy come colect visa abg free of chrge
ReplyDeleteMek de ngo also monitor that boy very well oo b4 he will influence other kids negatively
ReplyDeletewhat are u talking about???how will he influence other kids? people just come out here and talk crap....the boy is a hero...let them train him...he has the guts....
ReplyDeleteEither to be picked up and taken to the university. He still nids to be beaten and warned . I gueess u pple don't knw wot dis case is al bout, thank God he never associated with bad peer of group, cos they wud have use his courage for terrorism since his mind can easily be buy. He has to be taken to the welfare center, any child wey no one learn for house na outside dem go teach am
