The
Lagos State Government has terminated its 30 years concession contract with LCC
believed to be owned by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the construction of the
Lagos Epe Expressway..I was initially shocked by this development, thinking
where Gov Fashola got the gut to cancel a contract awarded to a whole Jagaban (Bola Tinubu's aka).
But
emerging facts has shown, that the fear of the unknown is making the company
jittery and they may not want to
wait till 30 years to recoup their money, hence they are taking advantage of a
buy out clause within the contract to collect its money up front, although the
State government has punctured this line of argument..If that is true as
alleged, then Mr Femi Aribisala's allegation that LASG is (may) be fraudulent
in its dealings may turn out to be true or what do you think?
