Veteran Nollywood actress, Ajoke Silva, has expressed gratitude to Nigerians, colleagues, friends and well-wishers for their support following the death of her husband, veteran actor Pa Olu Jacobs.Nigeria political analysis
Silva, in a message shared on Instagram on Saturday, thanked those who stood by her family during the 40-day period following his passing, acknowledging their prayers, calls, messages, gifts and financial contributions towards his funeral.
She said the gestures of love and support had brought comfort to the family during their period of grief.
“The 40 days have come and gone, and as we reflect on this period, my family and I would like to express our deepest and most heartfelt gratitude to you all for standing by us following the passing of my beloved husband, Pa Olu Jacobs,” she said.
The actress also thanked those who honoured her husband’s life and celebrated his legacy as the family bid him farewell.
“Thank you for honouring his life, celebrating his legacy, and standing with our family as we said our final farewell to a beloved husband, father, grandfather, colleague and friend,” she added.
Silva said the family did not take the show of love and generosity for granted, describing themselves as humbled and deeply grateful.
She prayed for God’s blessings upon everyone who supported the family, asking that their kindness be replenished.
