ROAD DIVERSION ALONG LAGOS BADAGRY EXPWAY COMMENCES TODAY AS ENVIRONMENTAL DAY IS ABOLISHED

The Lagos State government wishes to inform the general public that Asphalt laying from Dantata to Agboju on Lagos -Badagry express way will commence on Saturday 26th November 2016 by 7:00 am.

As a result of this, there will be traffic diversion from Dantata Junction into old OJO road .

Motorists going to FESTAC should go through Navy gate to connect Alakija roundabout and continue their journey. Also,motorists going to Mile 2 should reconnect Lagos-Badagry express way through either Oriyomi Street or Maza-Maza.

Adequate road signs and LASTMA personnel have been deployed to ease traffic.

Meanwhile the total cancellation of environmental sanitation day in the State commence today.According to a release signed by the State's Commissioner of Information and Strategy,Mr Steve Ayorinde during the week,the lifting of restriction on movement on the last Saturday of every month which has been in existence for over three decade became necessary because of the ever growing nature of a Mega City like Lagos as well as the ruling of a High Court which banned the restriction of movement which it ruled was unconstitutional .
