That's the story of Lt Colone; Muhammed Abu Ali.
Here is a tribute from one of his friends.
A TRIBUTE TO MUHAMMED ABU ALI :
"Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un ﺇِﻧَّﺎ ﻟِﻠّﻪِ ﻭَﺇِﻧَّـﺎ
ﺇِﻟَﻴْﻪِ ﺭَﺍﺟِﻌﻮﻥ "Surely we belong to Allah and to Him shall we
return"
Muhammed Abu Ali is the name. He is a Son to Colonel ABU
ALI the former Military Administrator of Bauchi State from 1990-1992
under the Babangida regime ..
You may have heard about him before: he
is the officer who was granted accelerated promotion from rank of major
to lieutenant-colonel in September 2015, for his courageous performance
in a series of the army’s engagements with Boko Haram most notably the
recapture of BAGA town in Borno State from the hands of the Terrorists
where he led the said Operation..
A fierce & fearless gallant Commando who specialized in
operating the Military Armoured Personnel Carrier. In his quest to
recapture MALAMfatori one of remaining stronghold of BokoHARAM in the
North East he led the operation as usual and his troops were
overpowered by the Terrorists & on their way back to seek for
Reinforcement they were ambushed by another group of Terrorists where
the late Ali was hit by several bullets which led to his death with
four other officers, though his troops equally killed about twenty four
Terrorists in the cross fire.
Muhammed ABU Ali's death yesterday have left many
Citizens in tears including me Daleehat Suleiman Bente.. "
You died on
Friday, May the door of Jannah Fir'daus be wide open for you for the
sake of the sacrifice you offer to this Country AMEN ...
