Delta
State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has proceeded on vacation.
The
Governor Tuesday informed the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt.
Hon Monday Igbuya of his intention to proceed on vacation.
In
a letter to the Speaker, Governor Okowa said he would be proceeding on vacation
from 5th-20th July, 2016
“I
send warm greetings to the Right Honourable Speaker and write to intimate the
Honourable House that I would be preceding on vacation from 5th-20th July,
2016” the letter read.
The
Deputy Governor of Delta State, Barrister Kingsley Otuaro, would be in charge
of the state’s administration while Governor Okowa is away.
“In
accordance with section 190 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of
Nigeria, as amended, His Excellency, Barrister Kingsley Otuaro, the Deputy
Governor of Delta State, shall perform the duties of my office as Acting
Governor during the period of my absence on leave”
“I
will greatly appreciate if the foregoing is placed before the Honourable House
for information” the letter added
