EX FEMALE MINISTER KIDNAPPED IN OGUN STATE


Former Minister of State for Education, Senator Iyabo Anisulowo, was last night abducted by gunmen at Igbogila area of Ogun State.

Anisulowo, according to one of her younger brothers, Kola Popoola, was kidnapped on her way from the farm.

Also abducted along with Anisulowo is her security aide.

Anisulowo who represented Ogun West in the Senate, last month marked her 70th birthday recently in Ilaro, the headquarters of Yewa South Local Government.

Ogun State Police spokesman Mr. Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said the police got a report that Anisulowo was kidnapped last night by armed men.

He said: “Yes. We have the report that the senator was kidnapped this evening by some armed men.

“The Commissioner of Police Abdulmajid Ali has dispatched teams to the area and we are optimistic that the Senator will be rescued very soon.”
