Many Feared Dead As Helicopter Crashes In Ondo State


 

Many people area are feared dead after a helicopter reportedly crashed in Igbokoda, headquarters of Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State today October 5. 

The number of people aboard the helicopter is yet to be ascertained while the condition of possible survivors of the crash in the coastal area remains unclear.

Sources said efforts were underway to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the crash and the extent of casualties.

The spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Abayomi Jimoh said that a statement will be released soon.

Igbokoda is a riverine community and commercial hub of Ilaje, one of the oil-rich areas of Ondo State, where helicopters are frequently used for oil and gas logistics operations.
