A 3-year-old Black boy named Nevada has reportedly been kicked out of a youth soccer league in Winter Park, Florida, after his talent allegedly sparked complaints from parents of older children.
According to his family, Nevada was so good at dribbling and keeping possession that opposing parents complained their children could not get the ball from him.
The situation reportedly escalated until police escorted the family away from the field.
Nevada’s parents questioned the treatment, insisting their son was simply enjoying the game.
The family says they later received a refund for their registration.
The incident has sparked debate online, with some accusing the league of unfairly targeting the young boy, while others argue that more context is needed.
