Several members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Benue State have sustained serious injuries after a bus conveying them to the party’s North-Central mega rally in Lafia, Nasarawa State, was involved in a head-on collision on Saturday, October 10, 2026. The accident occurred within Lafia, a few kilometres from the rally venue.
The injured supporters were reportedly evacuated to hospitals in Lafia for medical attention. The exact number of people injured had not been confirmed at the time of reporting.
Dan-Morgan Ihomun, publicity secretary of the Austin Agada-led APC faction in Benue State, confirmed the incident and said no lives were lost. He said the crash involved two vehicles and that the injured passengers had been taken to hospital.
