The United States Air Force has delivered military equipment to the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) to support Nigeria’s counter-terrorism efforts.
The U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) disclosed the development on Thursday, saying a U.S. Air Force C-17 aircraft transported the equipment to Nigeria.
According to AFRICOM, the delivery was made under a Foreign Military Sales agreement as part of ongoing security cooperation between the United States and Nigeria.
The equipment is expected to strengthen the Nigerian Air Force’s capacity as the country continues efforts to tackle terrorism and other security threats.
The latest support further highlights growing military cooperation between Nigeria and the United States in the fight against terrorism.
