The Nigerian Air Force and Nigeria Police Force have strengthened their strategic partnership ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, met with Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Rilwan Disu at the Force Headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday to discuss stronger coordination, intelligence sharing and inter-agency cooperation.
Aneke highlighted the potential use of NAF Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance assets to support police operations, while both agencies also discussed joint training in intelligence, forensics, crime scene management and criminal investigations.
The meeting reaffirmed their commitment to working together to support a peaceful and secure electoral process. This comes as the NAF has also urged security personnel to remain professional, impartial and guided by the law during the 2027 elections.
