Nollywood veteran Bukky Wright ,59, stated that her starting price for any man interested in dating her is one billion naira in cash, along with a house in Banana Island, one of Lagos's most expensive neighbourhoods.
She made the statement while being interviewed alongside her son, OJ Wright, for a segment focused on love, money, and marriage.
The topic came up after OJ asked his mother what a man would need to offer to earn her interest at this point in her life.
Bukky said a man should be ready to provide plenty of money and a house in Banana Island.
When OJ estimated that such a request could amount to between five hundred million and one billion naira, Bukky confirmed the figure, setting one billion naira as her baseline.
In her words, Bukky Wright said, "It is one billion naira.
"That's a starting price. You guys have heard it, because somebody said one billion, not one million.
" I mean I don't want one million. So by one billion, one billion, one billion," she said, repeating the amount for emphasis.
OJ jokingly asked whether he should expect to struggle financially at his age given his mother's standard, to which Bukky responded that this was not her intention.
She maintained that the figure represented a starting point rather than a fixed demand, and the exchange remained playful throughout.
