FRSC CORPS MARSHAL MOURNS THE PASSING OF CELEBRITY SPECIAL MARSHAL, OLU JACOBS
The Federal Road Safety Corps mourns with profound sadness the passing of one of Nigeria’s most distinguished sons, veteran actor, cultural icon and Celebrity Special Marshal, Chief Oludotun Baiyewu Jacobs, MFR, popularly known as Olu Jacobs.
On behalf of the Management, Officers, Marshals and the entire family of the Federal Road Safety Corps, I extend our deepest condolences to the Special Marshals family, the Jacobs family, the Nigerian film and theatre community, and the entire Nollywood fraternity on this painful loss. Olu Jacobs was not merely an accomplished actor; he was a cultural institution whose remarkable career helped shape Nigeria’s creative industry and project the richness of our national identity to the world. As a Celebrity Special Marshal, he also lent his distinguished voice, stature and influence to the cause of road safety and the collective responsibility of saving lives on our highways.
His passing is therefore a profound loss not only to his family and the creative community, but also to the Federal Road Safety Corps and the wider road safety family. The curtain may have fallen on his earthly performance, but the legacy of the man, the master and the patriot will continue to resonate across generations.
We pray that Almighty God will grant his soul eternal rest, and give his beloved wife, family, colleagues, Special Marshals and admirers across the world the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
