Fear Has Eclipsed Osun State As Search For Governor Adeleke Close Ally Olalekan Oyeyemi Killers Continues
The leadership crisis within the Park Management System in Osun State turned deadly following the killing of Olalekan Oyeyemi, popularly known as Emir or Ajagungbade, during a peace meeting in Ile-Ife.
Oyeyemi, who was an ally of Governor Ademola Adeleke, was reportedly killed while attending a meeting convened as part of efforts to resolve the lingering dispute between rival factions over the control and management of motor parks in the state.
He was said to have travelled to Ile-Ife for the peace meeting with a group loyal to the factional chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, Nurudeen Alowonle.
The group was reportedly led by the chairman of mini-bus operators, identified as Sobi, at the Mayfair area of Ile-Ife.
