Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri has handed over two São Tomé and Príncipe fishermen rescued off the Atlantic coast to their country’s ambassador, Carlos Manuel Moreno.
Diri disclosed on his official X handle on Saturday that the fishermen, Pedro Mateus and Isnaic Dafonseca, were rescued eight days ago by residents of Agge in Ekeremor Local Government Area after they reportedly lost their way while fishing off the coast of São Tomé and Príncipe.
