1. OGUN STATE (29th August, 2026): RELEASE OF KIDNAPPED VICTIM / NEUTRALIZATION OF TWO KIDNAPPERS / RECOVERY OF TWO AK-47 RIFLES AND TWENTY-FIVE ROUNDS OF LIVE AMMUNITION
✅ Police operatives rescued Usman Umar, who had been kidnapped, unhurt after combing the surrounding forest.
✅ Operatives subsequently stormed the kidnappers’ hideout, engaged them in a gun duel and neutralized two kidnappers, while others escaped with bullet wounds.
✅ Two AK-47 rifles, twenty-five rounds of 5.6mm ammunition and two mobile phones were recovered.

2. SOKOTO STATE (29th August, 2026): FOILED BANDITS ATTACK / NEUTRALIZATION OF THREE BANDITS / RECOVERY OF AK-47 RIFLE AND TWENTY-TWO ROUNDS OF LIVE AMMUNITION
✅ Police tactical teams, Anti-Kidnapping Unit, VCRU and military personnel intercepted armed bandits moving towards Maikujera Village and engaged them in a prolonged gun duel.
✅ Three bandits were neutralized during bush-combing operations, while the remaining hoodlums fled with casualties.
✅ One AK-47 rifle and twenty-two rounds of live ammunition were recovered, with no casualties recorded among security personnel or villagers.

3. KANO STATE (29th August, 2026): ABDUCTION / RESCUE OF VICTIM / THREE FATALITIES
✅ Police tactical teams gave suspected bandits a hot chase following an attack at Garun Mallam Town, forcing them to abandon the abducted Alh Yusif Nadabo, who was successfully rescued.
✅ Three other victims who sustained gunshot injuries were evacuated for medical attention but were later confirmed dead.

4. ABIA STATE (30th August, 2026): RECOVERY OF FIREARMS / AMMUNITION AND OTHER EXHIBITS
✅ Acting on credible intelligence, VCRC operatives mobilized to Okohia Forest, Ukwa West LGA, following information on suspected armed hoodlums attempting to establish a camp.
✅ The hoodlums fled on sighting the Police team, while a search operation led to the recovery of one locally made pistol, forty rounds of 5.56mm ammunition and two rounds of 7.62mm ammunition.
✅ Four empty magazines, military camouflage uniform, substances suspected to be Indian hemp and other exhibits were also recovered.

5. LAGOS STATE (29th August, 2026): ARREST OF THREE SUSPECTED ARMED ROBBERS / RECOVERY OF THREE FIREARMS AND EIGHT ROUNDS OF LIVE AMMUNITION
✅ Acting on credible intelligence, Police tactical operatives tracked and arrested three suspected members of an armed robbery and carjacking syndicate.
✅ Two locally made pistols loaded with five cartridges and one locally made revolver pistol loaded with three rounds of 9mm ammunition were recovered.
✅ Efforts are ongoing to apprehend other members of the syndicate.

6. KATSINA STATE (30th August, 2026): FOILED CATTLE RUSTLING / RECOVERY OF FIVE RUSTLED COWS / ENGAGEMENT OF BANDITS
✅ Police tactical personnel engaged suspected cattle rustlers in a gun duel following an attack on cattle rearers at Tafoki Village.
✅ The bandits were overpowered and all five rustled cows were successfully recovered.
✅ Police rescued injured victims and conveyed them to Funtua General Hospital for treatment.

7. TARABA STATE (30th August, 2026): KIDNAPPING / RESCUE OF TWO VICTIMS / RECOVERY OF ABANDONED VEHICLE
✅ Police personnel of 67 PMF Takum and Highway Patrol, alongside the DPO-led team, conducted an extensive search following a reported kidnapping incident.
✅ Alidoo Cecilia Ityo, 55 years, and her little granddaughter were successfully rescued after being abandoned by the kidnappers.
✅ A red Toyota Corolla car, registration number JMT-680-XA, abandoned by the kidnappers, was recovered.

8. OYO STATE (27th August, 2026): ARREST OF FOUR SUSPECTED KIDNAPPERS / RECOVERY OF FOUR EXPENDED CARTRIDGES
✅ Following the abduction of nine-year-old Shittu Ridwan, combined security teams combed the surrounding bushes and arrested four suspects, including Amadu Soliu, 21 years.
✅ Four expended cartridges were recovered.
✅ Intensive search operations continue to rescue the victim and apprehend other suspects.

9. OGUN STATE (30th August, 2026): ARREST OF SUSPECT IN CULPABLE HOMICIDE
✅ Following the fatal attack on Adeyemi Adegoke at Arigbajo, detectives deployed to the scene and commenced investigation.
✅ One suspect, Biola Adeokola, was arrested in connection with the crime.
✅ Search operations are ongoing to apprehend the fleeing accomplices.

10. DELTA STATE (29th August, 2026): ARREST OF SUSPECT / RECOVERY OF FIREARM AND FOUR LIVE CARTRIDGES
✅ Police operatives on patrol along Mariam Babagida Road, Asaba, arrested Ossai Price, 33 years, dressed in a Special Forces uniform and found in possession of a locally fabricated pump-action gun resembling an AK-47 rifle.
✅ The firearm was loaded with four live cartridges, all of which were recovered.
🔹 Status: SCID Asaba Investigating.
11. PLATEAU STATE (29th August, 2026): RESCUE OF KIDNAPPED VICTIM
✅ A combined team of PMF personnel, VCRU operatives and local hunters successfully rescued Pastor Dipat Gabriel Joseph, who had been kidnapped in Bokkos.
✅ The victim was rescued unhurt.
✅ Frantic search operations are ongoing to apprehend the perpetrators.

12. AKWA IBOM STATE (29th August, 2026): RAID OF CRIMINAL HIDEOUT / ARREST OF TWO SUSPECTED DRUG DEALERS / RECOVERY OF EXHIBITS
✅ Acting on credible intelligence, Police operatives raided a suspected criminal hideout at Ikot Edong Village, Uyo LGA.
✅ Two suspects, Moses Dominic Okon and Kufre Essien Okon, were arrested.
✅ A large quantity of substances suspected to be Indian hemp was recovered.

13. KADUNA STATE (31st August, 2026): RECOVERY OF FIREARM, AMMUNITION AND MOTORCYCLE
✅ Police operatives, PMF personnel and KADVIS members responded to the activities of armed bandits disturbing farmers.
✅ The hoodlums fled into the bush on sighting the security team, abandoning their weapons and motorcycle.
✅ One pump-action rifle, two cartridges and one motorcycle were recovered.

14. OYO STATE (29th August, 2026): ARREST OF SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER / RECOVERY OF ATM CARDS / POSITIVE IDENTIFICATION BY VICTIM
✅ Police operatives on Operation Velvet intercepted Ali Betau, 27 years, along Igbope/Igbeti Road.
✅ Investigation and phone records linked him to a wanted kidnapper, while four ATM cards were recovered from him.
✅ A kidnapping victim positively identified the suspect as a participant in her abduction.
🔹 Status: SCID Ibadan Investigating.
15. ENUGU STATE (30th August, 2026): JOINT SEARCH AND RESCUE OPERATION / RECOVERY OF AMMUNITION
✅ Following the abduction of three persons at Amaja Community, joint Police, Army, neighbourhood watch and forest guard teams mobilized to the scene.
✅ Three expended shells of 7.62x39mm ammunition were recovered.
✅ Search operations are ongoing to rescue the victims and apprehend the culprits.
