Aaron Terod Johnson, a U.S. citizen and former high school teacher from New Orleans, started a 33-year prison sentence following his conviction for sex trafficking a 16-year-old girl from Mississippi to Louisiana.
Johnson learned the teen ran away from home in February 2024. The next day, he found and saved a screenshot of her social media page on his phone.
In March 2024, Johnson contacted the girl and learned she was stranded in Mississippi. That evening, he drove from his home and picked up the victim and her friend. He told her he wouldn’t hurt her because he was a teacher and his students were her age.
Then he offered her alcohol and marijuana, brought her to his apartment, and sexually abused her. His abuse continued even after she left his apartment — he repeatedly tried to contact her even though she blocked him. Within two weeks, he sexually abused her again.
Evidence introduced at his trial showed Johnson attempted to pay a different girl for sex in April 2024, even after she disclosed she was only 15 years old.
ICE Homeland Security Investigations, the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office, the United States Marshals Service and the ATF investigated this case.
