Gov Mutfwang Stops Activities Of Hisbah In Plateau State

Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang has ordered the immediate stoppage of activities by a group reportedly operating as Hisbah in parts of Jos North Local Government Area, declaring its operations illegal and unauthorised.

The governor directed security agencies to arrest members of the group found carrying out such activities and ensure they face the law.

The directive followed concerns over the group’s activities and the need to prevent individuals or organisations from taking on enforcement roles without legal authority.

The state government said security agencies have been instructed to enforce the order and maintain law and order in the affected areas.
