A lawyer and APC Chieftain Barrister Abdulsalami Ginsau, has reportedly died after being trapped inside an elevator at a hotel in Abuja.
An eyewitness account said the incident occurred on Monday, March 30, 2026.
The report indicated that the deceased was stuck in the lift for a prolonged period, leading to his death, suspected to be from suffocation.
However, the exact cause of the incident has not been officially confirmed.
It’s is unclear whether it was due to a power outage or a mechanical fault in the elevator.
Authorities and the management of the hotel involved have issued an official statement at the time of filing this report.
The identity of the hotel has also not been disclosed.
