A petrol tanker on Sunday rammed into the convoy of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, killing a police dispatch rider, Ibrahim Hussaini.
Akpabio announced the passing of the dispatch rider on Tuesday during the plenary, where he condoled with the family of the deceased.
Dispatch riders, often police officers, usually ride government-branded motorcycles as part of public officeholders’ convoys.
