Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia has offered a total sum of N380 million to families of 76 security personnel who died in active service in Benue from 2024 to date.
Alia, who presented a cheque of N5 million to each of the families at the Government house in Makurdi, also announced scholarships for the children of the fallen heroes.
Alia equally made provision for those injured and may be receiving treatment.
A minute silence was observed for the fallen heroes who paid the ultimate price to secure the state from 2024 till date.
