A child’s father and step-mother have been arrested after the child was allegedly beaten to death and buried.
According to Scott County Sheriff Mike Lee, authorities got information on Thursday about a child that had not been seen by family members since late January.
The 3-year-old child had never been reported missing and was supposed to be living with his step-mother and father in Lake, Mississippi.
Investigators soon uncovered that the child had allegedly been beaten to death by his father, Rodkis Fenderson, on January 26th.
The step-mother, Kierra Patrick, and Rodkis Fenderson had told other family members different stories about where the child was.
On Friday, Fenderson showed deputies where the child was buried.
