Police Arrest Cult Leader ‘Marshal General’ Over DJ’s Murder In Lagos

Operatives of the Lagos Police Command have arrested a suspected cult leader, Christian Chukwudi, also known as "Marshal General", over the brutal murder of a Disc Jockey (DJ) in the Abule-Ado area of the state.

The victim, Victor Dickson, 32, was performing on stage at a hotel along Community Road on Saturday night when armed assailants stormed the venue. The attackers, suspected to be cult members, shot and macheted him before fleeing the scene, causing panic among guests.

Responding to a distress call, police officers pursued the assailants, who fled through FESTAC Town. However, Chukwudi was arrested with the help of FESTAC vigilantes while attempting to escape.

Confirming the arrest, Lagos Police Spokesman, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, said a locally made shotgun and a live cartridge were recovered from the suspect.

In a separate operation, police officers from Iju Division arrested another suspected cultist, Ibrahim Toheeb, 26, alias "Baales", at Fagba Junction around 7 a.m. on Saturday.

Toheeb, who had been on the police wanted list for cult-related killings, was caught with wraps of suspected drugs.

Hundeyin assured the public that investigations are ongoing and necessary legal actions will be taken against the suspects.
