Akwa Ibom Govt Condoles NUJ Over Member's Death


 

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has sent his heartfelt condolences to the family, the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Akwa Ibom State Council, and the entire media community in the state on the passing of Miss Abigail Isaac, who was the Chairman of the Consolidated Chapel of the Union.

In his condolence message, made available to the media by his Chief Press Secretary, Ekerete Udoh, Governor Eno said he received with shock “news of the passing of Abigail Isaac, a dedicated and resourceful reporter who was, until her passing, the Chairman of the Consolidated Chapel of the NUJ.

“On behalf of the government and people of Akwa Ibom State, I express our deepest condolences to her family, the Chairman of the NUJ, Akwa Ibom State Council, Comrade Amos Etuk, and indeed the larger media community in the state on this sad development.

“We pray for the repose of her soul and stand ready to show our support to the family as plans are made for her funeral.

“May her soul rest in peace,” the statement concluded.
