Kidnapped DELSU Student Regains Freedom After N1m Ransom Payment


 

A kidnapped student of the Delta State University, DELSU, Abraka in Ethiope-East Local Government Area, Miss Onos Roman, has regained her freedom after a N1 million ransom was allegedly paid to her abductors.

The victim’s elder sister, Ese disclosed this to our correspondent via a WhatsApp chat on Saturday.

She said her sister was released on Friday afternoon, after payment was made to the kidnappers.

Ese added that her sister, who has been reunited with the family, is fine and doing well.

It would be recalled that the victim was kidnapped in Abraka on Thursday. She was stripped naked by her abductors who used her mobile phone to call and demand and demand N1 million ransom from her family members.

They warned that the money must be paid before 1:00 pm on Friday, same day she was released
