"THISDAY GIRL Labake Lateef Yembra FINALLY TAKES A BOW.
For several years so many of us her friends tried our best .
Led by Vera Abiodun Osokoya our arrow head who day and night strived to give her bosom friend the best of comfort.
Labake ( Yembra ) was for years the General Manager Advert for Thisday Newspaper before she was struck by a strange ailment which led to partial stroke
So many efforts were made by her genuine friends to assist.
Maybe now that the deed has been done,I will finally let the cat out of the bag though I have subtly mentioned it in the past .
Few weeks ago I recieved a call from a common friend and a fellow journalist Sola Ojewusi.
CKN, I have some good news for you ,a man of God has agreed to give us some cash for Labake ,can you spare some time to accompany them (family ) to see the Man in two days time.
He has agreed to give her N5m cash but no publicity please ,he doesn't want it publicised
I reached out to Vera immediately, she was abroad ,she has also been contacted by Sola.
I can't make it i told him,i am currently out of town and Vera is out of the country
He said ok but lets arrange for her and her husband to attend the event.
It was arranged and the man of God gave them N5m cash according to Sola.
That man of God is Pastor T B Joshua,I was reliably informed he wants to give more.
But it's obvious death has other plans.
But Labake has gone to the place where there is no pain.
I thank most specially VERA ,you are what the world call a true friend ,despite your own challenges and tight schedules you never gave up on her till the last minute,I remember vividly all those our long talks .
Azuka Jebose Emeka Oparah Oluwayemisi Adegbite and so many others too many to mention at one point or the other never gave up on her too.
She died as preparation was in top gear to fly her abroad for medicals.
Rest in peace my sister till the resurrection morning.
