Officials of the Lagos Waste Management Authority, in collaboration with the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation and Special Offences Unit, sealed the Alaba International Market, Ojo, in the early hours of Monday, October 23.
This was disclosed in a post on X by the Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, on Monday.
According to Wahab, the market was sealed for poor waste disposal practices, failure to pay their waste bills and gross environmental sanitation offences.
This follows the closure of Trade Fair International market last week
