Buhari Sacks Okah-Donli As NAPTIP DG , Appoints Imaan As Replacement

President Muhammadu Buhari has sacked Julie Okah-Donli as the Director-General of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Person (NAPTIP).

The President has also approved the appointment of Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim as the new DG of the Agency.

The New DG according to a statement from the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu is a holder of BSc (Sociology), Masters of Arts (Management), and Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degrees. The new DG hails from Nasarawa State.

Until her new appointment, she was a member of the Nasarawa State Economic Advisory Council as well as the Special Adviser on Strategic Communication to the Minister of State for Education.

When contacted a staff of the Agency stated that they only got the information of the sack from the Twitter handle of Garba Shehu.

The sacked DG was appointed on April 13, 2017, and was recently appointed as a Board member of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
