EX SOLDIER ARRESTED FOR ARMED ROBBERY



A member of the Nigerian Legion, an association for ex-soldiers has been arrested by policemen in Ogun for robbery.

Benjamin Okon was arrested at Shagamu for snatching a bajaj motorcycle from one Ibrahim Ginji.

The police alleged that the victim, who reported the matter, swiftly identified the suspect in the presence of the police.

It was gathered that Okon, who sold the motorcycle for N70,000 had the money in his possession at the point of arrest.

Contacted, the spokesman for Ogun command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) said the suspect was being investigated and would be charged to court.
