ARMY ARREST THREE FAKE SOLDIERS

The 34 Field Artillery Brigade of the Nigerian Army Obinze, Imo State yesterday paraded three fake soldiers involved in extorting money from unsuspecting members of the public in the state.

Spokesman of the Brigade, Haruna  Tagwai said in Owerri that the suspects; Micheal Chimaobu Okafor, 23, from Umuokota village in Nekede, Sunday Emmanuel Umoh 26, from Itak- Ikot  Udoh in Ikot Ekpene council of Akwa Ibom state have been terrorizing the people of the state with fake Army uniforms.

He said the third suspect, Chigozie Uwa 30, from Umuuba community in Urrata in Owerri North council, was caught with Army uniforms at the peace motor park.

Items recovered from the suspects include three fake military identity cards, military kits, their pictures in military camouflage and a CD plate on Boko Haram. Lt. Tagwai said the suspects would be handed over to the police for further investigation and prosecution.
